Victoria Falls - Zambian Side

The Zambian side of Victoria Falls offers a more intimate and adventurous experience of one of the world's greatest natural wonders. While the Zimbabwean side provides panoramic views, the Zambian side gets you closer to the action with unique experiences like Devil's Pool and Livingstone Island, where you can swim right at the edge of the falls.

Devil's Pool, accessible only during low water season (roughly August to January), is the ultimate adrenaline experience - swimming in a natural rock pool right on the edge of the 108-meter drop. The Zambian side also offers excellent viewpoints including the Knife Edge Bridge, which provides spectacular close-up views of the Eastern Cataract and Boiling Pot.

Livingstone, the town on the Zambian side, is named after the famous explorer David Livingstone who was the first European to see the falls in 1855. The town offers a more relaxed atmosphere than Victoria Falls town in Zimbabwe, with excellent lodges, restaurants, and a vibrant local culture. The Livingstone Museum provides fascinating insights into the region's history and culture.

Adventure activities abound on the Zambian side, including white-water rafting on the Zambezi River (considered some of the best in the world), bungee jumping from the Victoria Falls Bridge, microlight flights over the falls, sunset cruises, and cultural village tours.
