Booking Policy

Please read our booking terms and conditions carefully before making your reservation

Booking Confirmation

All bookings are subject to availability and confirmation by Avril Tours and Lodges. A booking is only confirmed once:

  • Full payment or required deposit has been received
  • Written confirmation has been sent to your registered email address
  • A unique booking reference code has been issued

Please ensure all details provided during booking are accurate. Any changes after confirmation may incur additional charges.

Payment Terms

Deposit Requirements:

  • A non-refundable deposit of 30% is required to secure your booking
  • Full payment must be received at least 30 days before your travel date
  • Bookings made within 30 days of travel require immediate full payment

Accepted Payment Methods:

  • Credit/Debit Cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express)
  • Bank Transfer (details provided upon booking)
  • Mobile Money (EcoCash, OneMoney)

All prices are quoted in USD unless otherwise stated. Currency conversion fees may apply.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellation charges apply as follows:

  • More than 60 days before travel: 30% of total booking value (deposit forfeited)
  • 30-60 days before travel: 50% of total booking value
  • 15-29 days before travel: 75% of total booking value
  • Less than 15 days before travel: 100% of total booking value (no refund)

All cancellations must be submitted in writing via email to sales@avriltours.com. Cancellation is effective from the date we receive your written notice.

No-shows: Failure to arrive for your scheduled booking without prior cancellation will result in 100% charges with no refund.

Changes and Amendments

We understand that plans can change. Amendment requests are subject to the following:

  • All changes must be requested at least 14 days before your travel date
  • Changes are subject to availability and may incur additional costs
  • An amendment fee of $50 per booking applies to all changes
  • Date changes are treated as cancellations and rebookings if made within 14 days of travel

Name changes are permitted up to 7 days before travel at no additional charge, subject to supplier terms.

Travel Documents

It is your responsibility to ensure you have valid travel documents:

  • Valid passport with at least 6 months validity from return date
  • Appropriate visas for Zimbabwe and any transit countries
  • Required vaccinations and health certificates
  • Travel insurance (highly recommended)

Avril Tours and Lodges is not responsible for any issues arising from invalid or incomplete travel documents.

Travel Insurance

We strongly recommend that all travelers purchase comprehensive travel insurance covering:

  • Trip cancellation and interruption
  • Medical expenses and emergency evacuation
  • Lost or delayed baggage
  • Personal liability
  • Adventure activities (if applicable)

Avril Tours and Lodges cannot be held liable for any losses not covered by insurance.

Health and Safety

Your safety is our priority. Please note:

  • You must disclose any medical conditions that may affect your travel
  • Some activities have age, health, or fitness requirements
  • We reserve the right to refuse participation if safety concerns arise
  • Follow all safety instructions provided by guides and staff

Pregnant travelers should consult their doctor before booking adventure activities.

Liability and Responsibility

Avril Tours and Lodges acts as an agent for various service providers including hotels, transport operators, and activity providers. We:

  • Are not liable for acts, errors, or omissions of third-party suppliers
  • Cannot be held responsible for delays, cancellations, or changes due to weather, political situations, or force majeure events
  • Will make reasonable efforts to provide suitable alternatives in case of service disruptions
  • Are not responsible for loss or damage to personal belongings

By booking with us, you accept these terms and acknowledge that adventure travel involves inherent risks.

Special Requests

We will do our best to accommodate special requests such as:

  • Dietary requirements
  • Room preferences
  • Accessibility needs
  • Special occasions (honeymoons, anniversaries, birthdays)

Please note that special requests cannot be guaranteed and are subject to availability. Inform us at the time of booking to maximize the chances of fulfillment.
